So, it's been awhile, but I worked on a new home improvement project today. I am not a bog fan of beige paint to being with when it comes to house paint and rooms in my home.
But the beige that my main hallway was painted was ever worse than the usual beige. It was very dark and sort of muddy in color.
And the hallway itself had survived a household with two young boys, and a family moving out and me moving in to bent, mar, scratch, and bang up the walls a bit.
So with the walls patched and everything removed from the walls, all I needed was a little sanding and a lot of masking tape to get things started.
I decided to go with a very pale grey color to go with the rest of the colors in my house, and to brighten up the hallway itself.
The camera flash makes the paint appear lighter than it actually is in the photos, but that's okay.
But when you contrast it with the ceiling and the white trim you can see the difference.
Overall the hallway is now a lot less gloomy. Over the next couple of days I plan to repaint the trim and the doorways in the hall to clean up the whole thing.
And the holes, and dents and the location of one of the two original thermostats are no more.
